Sweets for the Troops





A sense of national pride and identity was forged when Maine Buck Nuts joined forces with the nationally acclaimed organization Soldiers’ Angels to establish Sweets for the Troops.


It began with a simple package being sent to a lonely soldier in Afghanistan. One of the items was a bag of Maine Buck Nuts that didn’t melt in the intense dessert heat. When the wonderfully sweet treat was shared with the other troops, the requests began to come in. Maine Buck Nuts provided the nuts, Soldiers’ Angels provided the shipping and distribution service, and before long, Sweets for the Troops was shipping care packages to American service men and women around the world.
